DAVPS ROHINI has taken a step ahead towards building a green and clean environment by introducing green life

in their COMPUTER LABS. The green computer lab is the first of its own kind in Delhi.

Plants in the workplace offer more than aesthetic value. In fact, studies have shown they help reduce stress, enhance

students? attitudes, increase concentration, and improve air quality. They also help in reducing the radiations

imparted by the mobile towers around, the desktop computers, the printers, etc.

Plants offer a means to decrease stress while enhancing productivity by 12%.  Interior plants lower O&M

(Operations and Maintenance) costs while contributing to ?Green Building? design considerations.

Plants in the workplace attract, retain and enhance attitude of students and employees. They also help reduce

distractions due to noise around.

Indoor air pollutants have been ranked among the top five environmental risks to human health: Stagnant indoor

environments allow pollutants to build up and stick around in greater amounts than the humans should be breathing

in. Living and working in places rife with air contaminants and lacking decent ventilation can cause "sick building

syndrome," which can cause headaches, dizziness, nausea, and eye, ear, and nose irritation. NASA scientists have

been working to understand this problem and find solutions. Their space-age solution is an easy one that we can use

in our institutions by adding greenery.

Apart from the above initiative, the manure which is produced by the vermi compost plant at herbal garden in the

school will be added from time to time to the indoor plants.
